That said, it took me another year before I played them through. So, without nostalgia to affect my opinion, I can honestly say that they are good games. Bloodrayne 2 is superior to 1, although neither are anywhere near perfect by any means, they are entertaining and deserving of a proper modern reboot and sequel. The charm and story are solid and the characters are likable and interesting. The gameplay has issues. The first game suffers from terrible controls and the second is sometimes glitchy and leaves you wondering where to go and what to do next.

Most of the problems can be overlooked because the potential to be a classic exists, but the series falls just short of that mark.
