Starting July 22, 2013, I started talking with the owner of Risen Drums (RD) about selling my RD kit and having a new one made. We talked and Keith said that we could list my kit for $1800 and that would cover the cost of the new kit if we used maple shells, standard lugs, 22' kick, 12' rack, 16' floor tom. I agreed to this and we went ahead and listed my kit on their website where it took about 9 months to sell (sold in late April).After the kit sold, we started talking about making a new kit again - picking colors and looking at how much it would cost to use a different type of wood (mahogany).

Since we were planning on building the new kit, Keith gave me the option of walking with a check for $1650 (He kept $150 for listing my kit), or he would just hold on to it all. I told him to just hold on to it all since I was planning on making a decision fairly quickly.A couple of months later, I had car issues and needed cash quick, so I went to Risen to talk to Keith about getting that check for $1650, but he said he already ordered shells and materials for my kit, so all he could do is $1300 (interestingly enough we hadn't decided on what wood at this point). I told him I would look at some other options to get my car fixed and to keep moving on the kit.I got an Email from JD Nov 2, 2015 saying that my kit was delayed because of a manufacture error and a lack of hardware.I was super patient in the process because up to this point, when i needed to borrow a kit, Keith had something in stock I could borrow, but he has refused to answer my many emails, texts, and calls in the last 1.5 - 2 years. I have been asking simply for an update on when I will have my drum set, and he refuses to acknowledge even though I tried to be gracious with him. I have been waiting for a drum set for 4 years now and am losing hope that I will ever see the set or my money. Space ace kiss.
